Rectangular window boxes are the shallowest form in the trough family — only 17 to 24 cm high, designed to sit securely on sills, railings and narrow ledges. They add instant curb appeal to townhouses, flats and shopfronts, with enough soil depth for herbs, pansies, geraniums or trailing greenery. Lengths start at 40 cm for compact windows and reach up to 100 cm for larger façades. The same weatherproof light-concrete construction as the full rectangular trough range.

Large and extra-large rectangular trough planters bring architectural weight to terraces, commercial entrances, hotels and open gardens. With soil capacity up to 185 litres and reinforced bases, they comfortably support shrubs, small ornamental trees, bamboo and multi-layer plantings. Their clean linear geometry anchors both modern and classical landscaping. Typical dimensions sit at 80–100 cm length, 37–51 cm height and 36–37 cm depth, with a stability-first construction throughout.

Raised narrow rectangular troughs solve the classic problem of limited floor space combined with a real need for visual impact. Tall and slim (up to 92 cm high, only 22 to 40 cm wide), they create natural privacy screens on balconies, roof terraces and between garden zones. Every Idealist rectangular trough planter is engineered for long-term outdoor use. The base is supplied with pre-made drainage holes that prevent waterlogging and protect roots. The light-concrete composite is frost-proof, UV-stable and much lighter than traditional stone or cast concrete, so the planters can be repositioned without lifting equipment.
